This portrait of Italian model Sofia was prior to the session we planned to do. She walked into the studio with a stylish outfit, along with the bold bald looks, it made for a great portrait.

Titled ‘Solitude’, this black-and-white portrait captures Yana — a Ukrainian fine art model — mid-motion as her hair moves across her face. Lit from above, the image reveals a fleeting, introspective moment where movement and stillness coexist.

Created in-camera as a double exposure, The Silent Duet emerged spontaneously during a portrait session with Linh Do, an aspiring Vietnamese model living in the Netherlands. As two Asian creatives in a Western space, the mirrored image reflects the tension between our shared roots and cultural contrast.
